I'm hoping to build some raised beds on the cheap.
The back story: Our school was given a polytunnel and an Autopot hydroponic system around six or seven years ago. It worked well for for a good five years but the plastics have become brittle and the whole system isn't reliable anymore. Additionally, it requires the constant recycling of purlite as the planting medium and the use of liquid fertiliser which is either exceptionally expensive or not organic (I have been resistant to eat anything grownwith only the nuritent from MiracleGro!).
I am therefore hoping to convert the tunnel into something more traditional with raised beds for longevity, organic growing and a better learning experience for our kids. With an unfortunately small budget to do this I am hoping someone kind has some unwanted materials that could be used to create such raised beds. I am completely open to unusual ideas!
