have an Ash filter attachment, that you can attach to a vaccum cleaner to suck up ash from a grate's ashpan.
We didn't get on with it, and it has been sitting in the garge for years.
If anyone would like it, and see if it works better for them, let me know when you would want to come to collect it, and I can put it in the porch for you to collect.
