I started fixing stuff as a child. I have always been fascinated by how things work. By the time I was 14, I was repairing washing machines and other household items, much to my parents delight. Saved many a household gadget from the tip. Plus it kept my family functioning and made me gain confidence, as I was painfully shy. Im not now! I learned the value of recycling and helping others. If we all did something similar, the poor planet would not be drowning in our junk. Maybe people would be kinder too? I found out early that many people judge you by your colour. Some wont trust you to do something well if you don't look like them. Repairing and giving, helps to make me feel better about myself and changes those people's opinions too over time.
