WANTED: Old desktop PC
I'm looking for an old desktop PC/tower from roughly the DDR3 era (around ***–***) for an experimental local AI project.
Ideally:
- i5/i7 or similar processor
- DDR3 memory
- Standard PCIe x16 slot
- 32 GB RAM would be particularly useful, although less is fine
- Conventional tower case with reasonable space inside
It doesn't need a hard drive, Windows licence or anything fancy.
I'm planning to install a local AI chatbot for experimentation, learning and self-improvement, using a dedicated GPU, so I'm particularly interested in an older machine that would otherwise be heading for disposal.
