WANTED: Unwanted Pre-Loved Items For a Year 1 Outdoor Play Area (Martyrs Field CT1)

đ± **Help us build a purposeful outdoor learning space for KS1 children!** đ±
I am a local primary school Year 1 teacher hoping to transform our currently very limited outdoor area into a welcoming, hands-on learning environment for our children.
We are looking for **unwanted or pre-loved items that can be given a new purpose**, including:
đł Old pots, pans, bowls, wooden spoons, whisks and baking trays for a mud kitchen
đȘŁ Buckets, jugs, funnels, containers and tubes for sand and water exploration
đȘ” Wooden crates, logs, planks, pallets and other safe loose parts for construction
đ± Plant pots, gardening tools and containers for growing and nature activities
đš Chalkboards, clipboards, paintbrushes and other outdoor mark-making resources
đ Magnifying glasses, bug viewers and other items for exploring nature
We aren't looking for lots of plastic toys. We're hoping to create **open-ended, purposeful provision** where children can use everyday and natural materials to build, investigate, imagine, problem-solve, develop language and communication, and explore maths and science through play.
If you're having a clear-out and have anything suitable that you no longer need, we would be incredibly grateful to give it a new life and put it to purposeful use with our children. â€ïž
