OFFER: A few very old Ridge Tiles plus... (Sutton SS4)
DESCRIPTION
Old ridge tiles and decorative parts.
These were taken from my parents house (built early ***s). They were removed when the roof had to be repaired after the storm of ***. To make the repair consistent, these tiles (which were NOT damaged) were removed to be replaced with modern items to match the repaired tiles.
There are 6 plain ridge tiles 1 foot (30.5 cms) long.
One ridge tile with the fancy ‘cloverleaf’ cut-outs in the ‘fin’ (see photo).
One with the ‘hooked scroll’ feature (see photo) – this went over the end of the ridge (over a bay).
Could be used for repairs, or another decorative purpose.
Note! Sadly, the ‘hooked scroll’ part broke off cleanly when I was preparing it for the photos.
I immediately glued it with epoxy resin – but look at it and see what you think.
Also, I have a couple of tins of old tile paint (when I shake them, there’s still liquid inside) – you can have those as well.
I'm near the Anne Boleyn pub in Rochford. Available from Mon 28th.
